It seemed that Susan and I
both knew that we were going to marry the day after we met. We
certainly talked about it (in an abstract way) very early in our
relationship - less than 24 hours after we met.
I don't know that I ever formally asked Susan to marry me, or to
become my fiancé. We just sort of drifted into it, not out of
any sense of compulsion or this being the "natural path", but out of
a sense of mutual understanding. |
